The History of Astrology and the Zodiac
Astrology is one of the oldest predictive sciences, originating in ancient Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq) during the 3rd millennium BC. The Babylonians were the first to divide the sky into 12 distinct sections, creating the first zodiac wheel.
The Greeks later adopted this system, linking the constellations to their own mythology. Today, Western astrology remains deeply rooted in these ancient Greek and Babylonian traditions.
